Re: DND Sharing of phone number

So I too had a similar experience with the telco sharing my number with the
spam agency/person etc. And this happened a good three times. All three
times the person from the other telco had got the details from his own
telco, meaning the my telco share my number with the other operator and
they in turn shared it with the SPAMMER.

Though its been some time since this happened... possibly between last
24-36 months back.
In one case the person was apologetic, and did mention that the  messages
were sent in error, whereas the other one was from actual SPAMMER operating
from umm.. from likes of lucknow belt. He too did mention that he was a
premium subscriber and had many premium numbers from where the calls are
made. He like a goon, threatened me with dire consequences.... and at the
same time was firing his telco on the other line. For a second I was scared
and questioned the privacy in such matters!!!
Thanks god none happened after that late night call, till I saw the message
here by Manuj. Sharing my bit.

BTW as already mentioned India Against Spam is fantastic and been using
this for many years now. The guy also got appreciation is one of the
mobility innovation awards last year. Most recommended for the Android ones.

The other option shared is a built-in OEM provided feature and not
available in all/vanilla ones, plus would through a typical telco message
or number not available or reachable etc. Do correct me if I am wrong.
