Actually, the social media sites such as tumblr, blogspot and soup are
really ad free. Porn on them is virtually infinite in supply and really
free -- as in free beer. What puzzles me is why people pay for porn when it
is available free. As an economist I find a nice puzzle: differential
prices in what should be an integrated market. Price differentiation of
course can be explained by imperfect information. Go figure.
