Jio is denying that a leak took place, which imo compounds the original
lapse. Given the size of the leak, Jio's denial lacks credibility.

This should be a wake-up call for all of us -- with growing interconnection
of our data through Aadhaar, we are increasingly vulnerable to data fraud.

almost everything and has now become mandatory for even SIM cards. The only
way there can be some respite for Indian users when it comes to privacy is
if the government comes out with watertight laws on privacy and data
protection. But so far government has shown no inclination to do something
like this.
