On the heels of my selection as a delegate to the technology track of
this year's National Council on Disabilities conference in Washington,
I'm noticing more attention being turned to accessibility. In last
week's Sunday New York Times, A good portion of advertising space in
its Business section was devoted to Disability Hiring. Attention to
accessibility (or 'usability engineering for the disabled', as it
were) may be growing. Again, I'm asking all those who have concerns,
issues, questions, thoughts on the topic to please share them with me
as I'd really like to serve as a liaison between the HCI community and
the ADA movers and shakers of legislation.

I also learned today that while in Washington, I may be given some
time with at least one of our legislators - Congressman Henry Waxman
(who also headed up one of the key healthcare reform committees). So -
thoughts, etc., pass them on to me and thank you to those who
previously emailed me stuff.

Best,
Lisa Rose
