FYI - re accessibility and usability - Did you know the US government's "Disability.gov" has a blog? Here it is: http://www.design.ncsu.edu/cud/about_ud/udprincipleshtmlformat.html#top Of interest may also be Disability.gov's posting of this on "universal design": http://www.design.ncsu.edu/cud/about_ud/udprincipleshtmlformat.html#top I hope I hear from some of you prior to the ADA conference this summer where I'll be advocating for more representation by the usability engineering community in the development of ADA guidelines where digital technology is concerned. Note that in June I'll be hosting a conference call/virtual meeting for the BayCHI community Tuesday May 18th. See the next BayCHI email newsletter for more info. You can always send me directly whatever you'd like me to share at the conference. I've also been given the rather extraordinary opportunity to meet one-on-one with Congressman Henry Waxman (you might recall he headed up one of the key healthcare reform committees) and I'll use at least some of that precious time to make the case for more emphasis on usability and usability engineering expertise per the ADA in how and what it develops.
