Hi,

My local public library's web-based catalog has severe issues. Are there
well-designed systems that are competitive on the basis of features, and yet
comply with modern standards of usability?

I want to approach my library with well-researched facts to help them serve
the public better. First, they need to understand that they have a problem. I
could do my own critique of course, but who am I? ;-) I have already found
many articles and papers, but it's hard to know what weight they might lend to
my argument.

Do you know anyone who has been involved in a usability evaluation of library
catalog systems, or is otherwise knowledgeable in this space?

Thanks!
