Re: File Transfer

Asuming you are CLI oriented several options:

1. rsync (requires rsyncd or sshd running on destination)
2. scp (requires sshd running on destination)
3. tar to console | netcat on the source then netcat | tar from console 
on the destination

#1 is probably cleanest and also keeps track of what changed since last 
transfer

#3 is handy for one-offs when you have lots of smaller files ...

If you have large files and don't have Gigabit switch on the DSL modem 
you may want to connect the two machines directly via a cross-over 
network cable.
