Hi,
I am sure WAPI will survive in some form or another, but I doubt that we as
the consumer need to take it into consideration.
There is nothing wrong with the Government worrying about wireless security
and imposing their own standard for their own use. Imposing it on the public
is another matter however.
I believe that at the end of the day there will be some sort of compromise,
but regardless of what happens, few outside the government will actually use
it. It will just be one more choice from an ever-growing smorgasboard of
security standards.
Regards,
Glyn

Hi Grzegorz,

Maybe you mis-understood my meaning. I just want to say that, if the
standard is
really put into use, even Centrino chipset could not be sold. This idea
seems so crazy
and I don't know how are the government officers thinking of this.

My only idea of WAPI is a "shrug".

Best regards.
