Hi Graham; Ali:

We are 2-3 minute walk to China Telecom tower in downtown Dalian; very
close.
I will check if our ADSL supplier is CNC or China Telecom.

I am consistently getting download speeds from US of about 2.0 KB/sec.
(that's right 2.0). The tests from broadbandreports.com give us about 1.9
KB/sec, "your connection hardly qualifies as broadband". [Yahoo mail is
impossibly slow]

Below are two tracert. sina.net and mit.edu; sina.net is relatively quick.

You can see the problem at, line 8: sl-gw23-ana-0-7.sprintlink.net
[160.81.244.169]

Sounds like I want to be sure to use China Telecom's international backbone
gateway in Beijing.
But how?
