Seems I never got that thread. Was also wondering about Gimp 2.
I remember Graham had some comments about Gimp 1.2 because of the lack of
layer support. This has been added in version 2.

More generally I was wondering if anyone had experience with digital
photography on a Linux desktop and how to import RAW files from different
manufacturers (NEF I am interested in, but all is of interest) and Linux
applications you use for retouching and photo database management (I use
iMatch 3.4 which is only available for Windows). Is there any good
equivalent on Linux? what is your experience?

Thanks

Fred

I meant to type:

"too hard to use"

Not:

"to hard to use"

Migraine on, computer off.

I shall rest my digital impulses for a few days. ;-)
