Hello BLUGers, I've just installed suse 9.0 on my laptop (thought I'd try it). It installed easily, and everything worked great, but I immediately hosed many things up by playing with the kernel. Since I think there are some suse users here, let me first ask a couple of questions unrelated to my kernel. Fonts. I've tried about three different methods to try to make the fonts look better. I've gone to KDE control center and added all my MS fonts into the TTfont section. I downloaded and installed xfstt, again adding all my MS TT fonts. I also located the msttfont rpm and installed it. My fonts still look pretty sh1tty. What else can I do? This is installed on my laptop. The touchpad was working fine but at one point I plugged in a ps2 mouse. The O/S recognized it and when prompted I chose ps/2 mouse. Now the single press on my touchpad no longer equates to a left-mouse-click. I haven't found how to fix this. The icons on the task panel are grainy at the bottom. I tried to do a screen capture with gimp but the entire task panel was not even rendered in the capture. Thanks for any help. JJ
