I'm using Slackware in English, with LC_* set to "C" except for LC_CTYPE,=
 which
is set to zh_CN.gb2312 (I know I should move on to GBK someday). I don't =
use
KDE (I use XFCE), but the settings should be quite common...

I'm using the ukai and uming fonts from CJKUnifonts:

I think they're good, but I haven't tried wqy yet.

I personally don't recommend SimSun and Cyberbit fonts, since they are no=

free, to the best of my knowledge. For the OpenOffice.org problem, I set =
font
replacements (I use OOo 1.1.5, so for 2.0 it might be a bit different). I=

Tools->Options, you can set font replacements under the heading "Fonts". =
I
usually set "=CB=CE=CC=E5" and "=D0=C2=CB=CE" to "AR PL Shanheisun Uni" (=
that's uming). Then
for compatibility with MSO users you can use =D0=C2=CB=CE and it will app=
ear as uming
in your document.
