Ola, I have never used SecureFX, but I once helped a friend get the open source WinSCP http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/ going on their windows box, and installation, configuration, and operation seemed quite trivial for WinSCP. You can see other open source windows alternatives at http://www.openssh.com/windows.html.
Over here on the Unix side, I don't have an external SSH connection to play with just now, so I couldn't get hsftp running to have a look at it. I did however startup "secpanel" http://www.pingx.net/secpanel/

and poke around a bit. It might be a bit cluttered for a non-technie, and definitely makes no attempt to mimic Windows, but I thought it looked quite useable, and may start using it myself in the future (I have been using command line up until now).
Note that I searched on "sftp" to turn up hsftp, but had to search on "ssh" and troll through the whole list to find secpanel.
