Re: email isp recommendation

I use http://www.uucpssh.org/ for some of my personal e-mail. I don't know how well it scales up to small or large businesses, but not only is it secure (all communication via ssh to a server in France) but I have never seen more then a few hours of down time, never anything like days or weeks. And the occasional downtime is usually limited to less then an hour.

For personal use, it is also (still) free. I have been using it for most of two years.

On a tangential note, if you run your own e-mail server, you can setup uucpssh.org as your backup MX. So, whenever your server is down or the Great Firewall burps and your inbound e-mail can't make it through, uucpssh.org takes care of it.
