Hi bluggers, Amy Jiang schrieb: > Hardware compatibility issue is interesting, but I have got something cooler to show you tomorrow - the newest Beryl on my laptop! well, there is hardware compatability again ;) Ontop of which GLX-Extension do you use Beryl with? Xgl or Aiglx? I personally favor Xgl, because it makes GLX available to a wider audience; for Aiglx the graphic-driver itself needs to implement EXT_texture_from_pixmap. Aiglx: is favored by Redhat and Nvidia (makes multiscreen-extensions easier) Xgl: is favored by Novell/Suse (they try to push it into Xorg) What's your impression on that? What are your experiences? Besides, Beryl / Compiz itself: I think it's a nice showstopper, but still has a way to go. There are some issues with conflicting default keybindings. I do like the task-switching (highlights only the chosen windows) and the scale-plug-in (reminds me of Mac's Expose-Method). What do you think of the cube-view (i.e. usability, besides that it looks nice)?
