trying Ubuntu

Hi DunLUG team,

I have tried to run the 'try Ubuntu' option from the live CD that came
with the official Ubuntu book, but that didn't work even after
changing the boot order. Is this because this is the Ubuntu 11.04
version or because my notebook has too less RAM available? 

What could I do please to give ubuntu a try? I am thankful for any
suggestions.
