Best distribution for KDE?

KDE users, what is the best distribution for installing KDE?

I have used Gnome/Ubuntu for years.  But it is all getting too hard.  I
know it comes down to taste, but Ubuntu and Gnome are both  going in a
direction I find distasteful.  Kevan Quinn's difficulties is the last
straw for me.  (" Large (red?) left-handed cursor?")

So if I change, what is the best route?  What are people's experiences?
