You might want to look for something similar to wikkid wiki ( https://launchpad.net/wikkid). Development has stalled, but the idea is a wiki that's backed by a real RCS - in this case bzr. The advantages of such a system should be obvious: edits become branches, conflicts can be resolved with existing RCS merge algorithms.
