Do you mean the static-screen? Because if so, that's actually a thing
with youtube and not your plugins. That is, their end and not yours. I
had that the other day and needed to reload the page (it'd been sitting
open for several hours paused before I got back to it.)

Glad you're keeping it in the free-software world :) Firefox and
Chromium are probably the most common free software browsers, but I see
a lot of people using Chrome* which is technically good but you have no
way of know what it's doing.

* Chrome is mostly free software, but has extra bits that are non-free.
Chromium is Chrome with the non-free bits removed. I prefer Firefox, but
I'm not going to harrumph at the use of Chromium :)
