mailman and meeting

Hi all,
I had every intention of getting to the meeting tonight but 
circumstances have got in the way.
I hoped that someone with more knowledge than myself might be able to 
help me...
I have a domain hosted on a shared server with openhost.co.nz; I have 
managed to install Silverstripe and setup OK (great software and kiwi 
too) but I am stumped with how to get Mailman (or Majordomo) set up on a 
sub-domain. I have ftp'd the files to the correct location but since I 
don't have root access, how do i run scripts and commands to install.
I am a newbie at this. Silverstripe is installed and setup with regular 
web access.
