So back at home the problem persists on my ADSL connection, cable or no cable. No problem with openDNS servers status. The only thing I can access is my router web page. *no mozilla *no updates (could not connect to http://nz2.archive.ubuntu.com or any other mirror site. So I can't install resolvconf. No problems to connect to my network with XP. Help. I'm now going for a run to calm down registered linux user # 453724 registered ubuntu user # 17340 --- On Fri, 13/11/09, Jeremy Forbes <[email protected]> wrote: From: Jeremy Forbes <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [hblug] karmic internet issues To: "Hawke's Bay Linux User Group" <[email protected]> Date: Friday, 13 November, 2009, 2:49 PM yes so I manged to connect via my work wimax connection & get updates. Likewise when the ethernet cable is connected, network icon states eth0 connection active. Once again no internet. So i can't post the output of ifconfig , lsmob & iwconfig : I hope this doesn,t mean my laptop is too old for 9.10 as there is no problem connecting via XP. Maybe I have to roll back to 9.04 cheers registered linux user # 453724 registered ubuntu user # 17340 -----Inline Attachment Follows----- _______________________________________________ HBLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.linux.net.nz/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hblug -----Inline Attachment Follows----- _______________________________________________ HBLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.linux.net.nz/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hblug _______________________________________________ HBLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.linux.net.nz/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hblug
