mount ext ntfs drive

I have one box with dual partition, XP & Ubuntu. I wish to mount an external hard drive that also is ntfs.  I installed ntfs-config, but could only see the internal partition(which i don't want to see).
So I'm looking at ntfs manual configuration!  What would the <partition> & <mount point> be of external hard drive. eg
/dev/<partition> /media/<mount point> ntfs-3g defaults,locale=en_NZ.utf8 0 0
