0k thanks for your reply Rene. The thing is I should not need to delete partition, seen as it was mounting until one week ago. I checked my partners computer Ubuntu 9.04 & it mounted instantly. Here is output , first hers then mine.

I looked in fstab (/etc) & they are both similar. This is weird, any ideas.
