Hi everyone

A friend's Windows system on a laptop failed. I obtained the recovery disks
for her from the manufacturer but have been unable to get things up and
running. While I was waiting for the disks to arrive (they took so long)
I put WinXP on using my disk and her activation key, and then when recovery
discs arrived attempted to install the drivers but can't do it. I also
attempted to follow the instructions sent to me to recover Windows using the
disks, but a bit beyond me as didn't know the motherboard etc to select the
appropriate hardware.

She's had a quote for $170 to get things going, which seems a bit steep to
me given that she has the disks with all the software on them. Can anyone
suggest someone who will do a reasonable deal for her?

Thanks
Rose
