I came up with a great format for the next meeting coming on the 27th
that I think everyone will really enjoy. Lightning Talks are
five-minute talks; the concept was developed at YAPC - Yet Another Perl
Conference. For an explanation of how a L-Talk works look here:

http://www.justanotherperlhacker.org/lightning/

From experience I can attest to the fact that L-Talks were the only
talks at YAPC that were standing room only. What makes them really
popular is that you are exposed to a mish-mash of information, and you
end up with a lot of interesting things to think about or do more
research about. Nor do you have to commit to hearing a long talk. From
the talkers perspective it is a lot of fun, and only requires minimal
preparation.

To make this a reality, I request that members please submit their talk
subject/proposal to me ASAP because there are a limited amount of
slots. Feel free to do more than one talk, even have a part I, part II
talk if necessary .. in which case please tell me which talk you would
prefer to give the most.

I'll post the L-Talk schedule on our website as it develops. Spread the
word and bring your friends.

Jonathan

p.s. I'll talk about tightvnc :)
