Hoary final's been out a couple of days now. Since the final parts of my new 
system arrived at the same time, I installed the release version of Hoary as 
the sole OS.

First four(!) attempts at install went (mostly) without incident. I just had 
to decide what to do with all my drive space since I had an 80GB IDE drive 
and a 160GB SATA one. Decided that the SATA would house /usr/local.

So, I have the system installed and ready for reboot. That's where the trouble 
began. The system couldn't find the SATA drive. Not only weren't the proper 
modules not loaded, but the boot sequence in rcS.d meant that the drive 
wasn't ready when it was time to check the filesystem. I finally decided to 
install without using the SATA drive and config that one later.

I added sata_sil, sr_mod, sd_mod, and sbp2 to /etc/modules and moved 
thehttp://planet.debian.net/ procps script to an earlier slot. Now the system 
boots without a filesystem error. I put the hdparm script to 28hdparm, but I 
still get no such file or directory when trying to activate DMA on my DVD 
burner. Still doing that manually after login.

So... here's what I'm running: Abit NF7-S v.2, AMD Athlon XP 2500+ overclocked 
to 3200 (set FSB to 200Mhz), 2x512MB DDR400 RAM, 80GB Maxtor Diamondmax IDE 
drive, 160GB Seagate Barracuda SATA drive, nVidia GeForceFX5900 SE, and Sound 
Blaster Audigy 2.

Surprising me that in normal use, I've yet to see the CPU temp hit 40C. Maybe 
it's the Thermaltake Volcano 12 sink/fan and the other 5 fans I've got 
running. Guess it's DVD Shrink time. :)
