Hmm. Talk on ubuntuforums.org suggests I'm not the only one having SATA problems. The hot topic right now is trouble setting options with hdparm when the SATA drive is the sole hard drive. I know I couldn't activate DMA on my DVD burner until I added the IDE drive. But otherwise, I'm also very happy with the setup. I've even got XM Online streaming with mplayer-plugin, even though the system requirements only list Windows and Mac. On the Rocks is back!
