Um. Wow. way to be on the ball :-P

Several Comments on meeting ideas:

Yes i think we need a "leader" and I think their responsibility  
should be something along the lines of "Make sure a meeting is  
planned and that we have confirmation from SRSH that we can have  
access to a room(s)"

I don't think we need a long drawn out list of responsibilities. At  
least not at that this stage, what we have been doing has been good  
for the group and unless someone else thinks its not enough I say the  
"leader" continues with the same basic format.

Second, I think we should see a raise of hands (or emails) with  
people that are interested in being the "leader."

Perhaps set a date for the last day when people can raise their hands  
to be leader. I'd like to suggest June 15th as that day. that gives  
people 2 weeks more before the meeting to think about who they would  
prefer.

I think this should take place in the downstairs room instead of the  
computer room. I think we will all be a lot more comfortable ... If  
we can get a wap hooked up to their router that would provide just as  
good a link to the outside world as if we were actually upstairs.

I'm sure we can come up with enough switches to put together an adhoc  
network downstairs.

The biggest question is, which games do we play? And do we do it on a  
saturday instead of the normal wednesday meeting time? It might take  
us an hour just to set everything up ...

Also, do we take up a collection for some refreshments? (And whose  
responsibility is to to oversee any funds that MorLUG has?)

I'm gonna let my ignorance show on this one ... Who/What is the  
league of Woman voters, and what do they have to do with linux and/or  
technology topics that we are interested in?

This may not be the ideal time to have a speaker come in. Its during  
the holidays and a lot of people tend to be traveling (thus the  
reason he will be in the area). But it also means there will be  
considerably less people that can attend either because they are out  
of town or because they are entertaining guests.

I would hate to bring in a special guest speaker and then have only 5  
people show up for it. It would be a waste of their time and a little  
embarrassing for us.

A special guest speaker needs to be publicized so that we have a much  
larger crowd than normal :)
