Because every incident of Firefox or Linux being blocked like that
generates negative rumors about Firefox/Linux being "incompatible" and
being blocked from certain websites, which does more harm in public
acceptance of Linux/Firefox. Take even BB&T - they don't really block me
from accessing my account, but before I do that every time an ominous
warning pops up that I am using a non-standard software and can proceed
but at my own risk. This doesn't scare me, but what about thousands of
"ordinary" web users? If fact it may never come to thousands of
non-Microsoft users, like me bacause of mesages like these.

I guess Microsoft intentionally does not comply to the accepted standards 
to drive all these websites to block the competing software. Is that 
legal?
