the modules are being loaded, i think that's a good indication that
the card is functioning.  i wouldn't suspect that it's broken until
you at least complete what you need to do to get it working correctly,
ie, getting your manfid.

since the manfid is a manufacturer card model id, you should be able
to search for your card's make/model manfid and get that off the web
from someone else using it.  your other option is to search on how to
find the manfid, something like the following ought to do.
