If I speak, I would prefer to have a LCD projector or overhead. I can get away without if necessary. I would not try to present too much information if we expect to have a lot of new people who may not have a lot of Linux experience. I would recommend one or two speakers and a short time frame; no more than 1/2 an hour. The remainder of the time can be spent in free form discussion answering questions. Those who do not wish to stay are not forced to sit through a long presentation. Are there any plans to give away CDs? I can bring some Knoppix CDs and TheOpenCDs. I'm not sure how many we might need, but it would be cool to be able to give one or the other to each new attendee. If anyone else is interested in bringing CDs, be sure to print up a nice label as well. I have high-quality labels for the above. A CD with a a marker label, while good in most cases, does not make a good first impression. Eric -- Eric F. Sorton <[email protected]>
