The following message was supposed to have been sent weeks ago, but so it turns out, was accidently replied to Eric Sorton and not to the list. -------------------------------------------------------------- A snag in the installfest plans... The only way to request space for any purpose other than our regularly scheduled meetings is to petition to hold a special event. A form needs to be filed before the room can be reserved. Unfortunately, this process will push the installfest back at least 3 weeks from now, pending space availability. I have reserved a room for 9/28 between 8:00 and 10:00 in the Monongahela room of the Mountainlair. We can use this time for a planning meeting and forgo the monthly meeting until the installfest. Or, hold a regular meeting and get some planning things out of the way, to. Input, please. Craig Schiffbauer -------------------------------------------------------------- That's a bit outdated. The current situation is that we have a room in the mountainlair reserved for Monday, October 24 from 6:30-10:30. (this actually just changed again today...but the reservation is now confirmed) The date and time were selected around room availability. At this point in the semester it was hard to find a room with adequate size and for 4 hours at a time. The special events form now only needs Michael Bond's signature and to be submitted. The Monongahela room is still reserved this wednesday from 8:00PM to 10:00 PM. The open forum format of the last meeting seemed to work very well. It was informative and everyone had a chance to voice their input and bring up the topics that they wanted to discuss. Unless someone has a specific topic that they would like to speak on I propose that we use the same format for this meeting. Hit me with the feedback.
