RFC: Merge InstallFest with LinuxFest

Request For Comments:

It turns out Morlug's InstallFest is tentatively scheduled to occur on
October the 24th only two days before WVU ACM's LinuxFest on October the
26th, also a date that happens to be Morlug's established meeting date -
the last Wednesday of every month.

WVU ACM's flyer at http://wvu.acm.org/linuxfest/ lists events identical
to the goals of Morlug's InstallFest.

I strongly recommend that we combine forces at the LinuxFest on October
the 26th.  David Krovich,  past WVU ACM chairman, pointed out that to
have two separate events was a duplication of effort.  Everything Morlug
has been through to this point has been about building our organization
to become a self-sustainable force that can advocate via strong
alliances and mechanisms.  This is the reason why many members of what
was originally a community based organization recently choose to forgo
leadership and voting privileges so that we could reach a larger
population at WVU.  I hope our new leaders make a wise decision in this
matter and that WVU ACM welcomes our interest in participating in their
LinuxFest.  I can't help interjecting, wouldn't it be nice if we could
eventually arrange a full-blow LinuxFest like the one that just
transpired at http://www.ohiolinux.org?  The implications to our region
would be significant.

WVU ACM will be having a meeting about the LinuxFest event this
Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Brown Conference Room.  More
information can be found at http://wvu.acm.org/ .
