I hate to be the guy that always sounds trollish when posting to the list .. but .. Tomorrow is the last wednesday of the month. I haven't seen/heard anything about this months meeting yet. Last month people moved on it and got a speaker lined up that gave an interesting talk on home network security. There was a fairly good turn out, including some new faces. I was hoping that momentum would continue without me sending a mail to the list reminding people that 'its that time again' I feel like a damn rent collector or something, reminding people its that painful time of the month again. There is a meeting tomorrow that needs planned (or cancelled) by the student officers, and the Geek Movie Night on December 9th that still needs planned and advertised (though, i'm almost starting to think that people are interested in the 'extra' social meetings since we let a Lan Party and Install Fest slip by as well) I'd like to quote myself from the September 27th email i sent out: I hate saying this but it needs done, If we do not have enough students to hold an election in january I will be stepping down as advisor for the following school year. Finding new blood is the students of the groups job via word of mouth and advertising. Use facebook to your advantage. Hang fliers, etc. Thats only 2 months away, and I'm standing firm to that statement. I want this group to succeed. And i want to HELP it succeed, but I do not have the time, energy, and desire to keep a COMMUNITY group alive that others seem to have little or no interest in helping pushing forward and making better.
