Future Meetings (Future of MorLUG)

Also, it is now february and we have not held elections. As i stated earlier if we didn't hold election by the end of january i would not be serving as faculty advisor for next year. So ... the future of MorLUG is up in the air once again. I propose that we bring it back to the community, completely. Obviously, we don't have what it takes to be a Student organization with WVU. Which is really disappointing to me ... I'm calling an official 'What are we going to do' meeting for next monday at the blue moose at 7pm. Following that I intend to walk down to BW3s to get dinner. Anyone is welcome to join me. Possible Solutions I would like to address: 1) Mailing list, Website, information gatherings only. 2) Another University Staff steps up to the responsibilities of having a student organization. 3) Find a company around town that would be willing to sponsor MorLUG and provide a viable meeting place (close~ish to campus, so students could walk to meetings, and network access are the big requirements) 4) Any other idea is open for discussion. Just to give everyone a heads up, my vote is for #3 ... but that will only work if we have a good community backing. Otherwise #1, I want to make the IRC channel what it used to be, and have fun yet informative meetings with techies in the area.
