Just to reply to some points in the minutes:

No, because:
1. Octave needs to be installed and compiled, and we will provide the
pre-compiled binaries with our live CD, ready to run.
2. Practically no one from WVU engineering knows about octave.org.
This way we will promote that org too.

Again, I want to stress my main point - the only way we can get
students into Morlug is to demonstrate the usefulness of Linux. No-one
will spend his time on something which has no use for him. Linux has
tons of useful applications, so let's promote them through our
website. People still have no concept that one can get something
useful for free. If we just post links on our website they still
wouldn't bother. But if we say that you get something useful through a
free membership in Morlug - they will probably get more interested,
since there is an organization behind it. And while becoming a member
they may feel more attached to the subject and more likely to support
the course.

Regarding the meetings, I don't really think that the head count on
Morlug gatherings should be an indicator of success. It should rather
be the number of students registered at Morlug and actually using
Linux. By the nature of our trade not all of us are sociable types.
