So I'm doing some spring cleaning, and I'm willing to part with some of
my cherished computer parts of yore. Most people will consider it junk.
  :-)
But hell, if someone needs a cheapo router, or a kiddies-first-linux-box
or something, this might be just the deal you're looking for. So here's
what I've got, email me with offers.

An almost-working HP laptop. The power connector needs re-soldering on
the mainboard, from what I've been told, but I lacked the motivation to
do it.
Intel Celeron 1,6ghz CPU, 256 megs of DDR RAM, 2x USB, 1x serial, 1x
parallel, 1x PCMCIA slot, 1x slimline CD/DVD slot, decent graphics with
D-SUB and S/VIDEO ports, 1x PS2 port, and supports standard laptop hard
drive. The LCD's a decent size. Pictures of the unit on request. I
took the hard drive and CD/RW drive out to use them in another project,
so you'd need at least a hard drive for it in addition to a little
soldering work. Everything's Linux and FreeBSD compatible (it used to
run FreeBSD). If the offer's good, I could throw in a working 802.11b
Netgear PCMCIA card, too. Of course the battery and power supply will
also be included. Also let me know if you're interested in parts; such
as the battery or memory or whatever.

Digital AlphaServer. 128 megs of RAM, 300mhz CPU, no hard drive.
On-board SCSI. System is in working order minus hard drive. Will not
boot any LiveCD distros that I've seen due to esoteric driver needs, but
a redhat install ran on it for a long time, so I know that it is Linux
compatible. Just needs a hard drive to be a decent low-end workstation
or server. 64bit architecture.

A working Pentium-II 350 system, minus hard drive. 128 megs of RAM.
Includes PCI IDE controller, and willing to include SCSI controller if
needed. 10/100 ethernet, etc. Good 'first Linux pc' or misc. crap
server for your home. Willing to throw in old hard drive with Linux
pre-loaded if desired.

Misc. Sun stuff. I don't want to specifically part with any of it, but
a lot of it is collecting dust, so if you can put any misc. older (early
sun4u era) stuff to good use, let me know.

ATX mid-tower case. No power supply. I have a power supply laying
around, but the fan in it is questionable. This case includes a good
Pentium-II CPU, and some likely-good SDRAM DIMMs, but the motherboard is
cruddy (onboard PS2 is hosed, could maybe be used with USB kbd/mse, but
probably not worth it). If you'd like to try-before-you-buy the CPU or
RAM, I'd be cool with that. There's also a decent but old PCI graphics
card on it, that is known to be good.

Please email me if you're interested in any of this stuff, or have any
questions. Also, if you'd like to bring a hard drive for any systems
which are missing it and have me load Linux or FreeBSD or somesuch for
you, I'd be cool with that as well.

Take care, Matt.
