The manual also lists a huge list of open source licenses that "may" apply to software in the TV. 3rd parties can write applications. There are facile games. I ignore most of it, preferring the mythtv or xbmc interface. It also interfaces to plex media server, which runs on win/osx/linux. So you can play your ripped DVDs on the TV. It also has facility to plug in an external hard drive and record programmes, although I haven't tried that.
