Re: Sorts of things I'ds like to see in a distro

I'm still a newbie at this...but doesn't GENTOO do this?  I've JUST
finished installing it, and it has the whole portage emerge thing.  A
list of all emerge applications available (with meta information) is
stored on your computer, and can be installed/updated/removed with a
simple call.

I haven't used this thoroughly yet, but so far I'm loving it!
