hmmm... Kevin, please checkout phpLdapAdmin - that is a good start for 
laying this stuff out.   I am writing some python stuff to assist me on 
all this in the future.

Next, you can just generate an LDIF and use ldapadd, or ldapmodify to 
import / export.  It is pretty simple.
