That does look like a nice tool--sets up everything for you.  Working a
little more with openLDAP (installing Samba as a DC), I discovered that
the tool will dictate the required directory structure (not me getting
to decide what to put in it).  While installing samba, I cam accross the
smbldap_tools package (Is this part of samba?  It was created by
idealx).  Is there a particular reason why you would recommend
phpLdapAdmin over these scripts (along with ldapadd, ldapmodify,
slapcat, etc...)?  Installing phpLdapAdmin requires Apache, which I was
planning on not installing until a later date.

I think I got ahead of myself by trying to identify a complete directory
structure (designing vs. implementing mindset).  The tools I implement
will dictate the necessary fields in the directory.  I'm guessing the
groupware solution I implement will do the same as what Samba has done.
