My dual Opteron machine runs very nicely.
I first installed SUSE 9.1 (iirc), which worked fine.
Then I installed Mandrake 10.1, which also works well.

I switched only because I didn't have SUSE CDs/DVD and
I do have Mandrake CDs.  I.e., I did a network install
of SUSE, which was fairly slow, but after the install
was complete, it was good.
