AMD64 - successful install of SUSE 9.2 eval dvd

Dear fellow AMD64 users,

I have just completed a successful install of SUSE 9.2 eval dvd on my 
Athlon 64.

Only got  a couple of error messages about two packages that failed 
to install properly. Don't recall which ones they were, wrote it down 
somewhere. When I have this info I'll post it to the list.

Post install, I was able to use Yast On-line Update and successfully 
installed 53 patches from an Oregon State University server ( good, 
fast connection ).

The installer was aware that I have a 64 bit processor and set a 
default for the 64 bit choice ( I think this is function key F5 or F6 
).

So far, I am comfortably with the SUSE 9.2 KDE environment. Since my 
new system includes a new DVD burner with max 16x dvd burn speed, I 
wanted to test this out.

I tried to download the SUSE eval dvd again, but the Novell web site 
has a broken link there.

The web site mentions the availability of a new SUSE 9.3, but the 
link for purchasing it is also broken.

I copied the dvd iso from my P4 box to the amd64, and burned a copies 
with my new burner( used the KDE k3b app). Certainly faster than my 
older dvd burner that does a max dvd burn of 4x ( often slower when 
using 8x rated blanks).

Previously, I tried the same dvd burn with Mandrake 10.2 x86_64. The 
k3b app   on Mandrake was reporting peak speeds in excess of 12x. I 
was thrilled about this until I tried to mount/read the result...and 
failed. The k3b app does not have an option for the 8x speed ( which 
is the rated speed of the blanks I have been using, Maxell, TDK, and 
others ); so I set the speed to 4x and got a good result that could 
be mounted/read.

If anyone want a copy of the SUSE 9.2 eval dvd, let me know.
