Guys,
I have Ubuntu 5.10 and have successfully installed KDE using the apt-get
command..
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
KDE is now my default desktop manager, my problem is, i have another
machine with
ubuntu in it.. I don't want to go to the hassle of downloading
everything again from the
net to install KDE in that machine.
I went to /var/cache/apt/package and burn all the files there to a CD
using k3b this includes
all the .deb files.
My problem is when I open the CD on the other ubuntu machine and run
sudo dpkg -i kubuntu-desktop..something
It wont work.. It ask for more dependencies.. I copied all the .deb
files in the CD in the
/var/chache/apt/package folder and still dpk won't work. I'm a newbie so
I don't know
yet what to do.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys and more power to plug!
