I suggest that you install a fresh copy of the latest distros since it was
originally configured for a different PC, but if you insist ....

You need to change the IP config to conform to your network. You can start
by editing the following files:

1. IP address and netmask
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

2. For the DNS
/etc/resolv.conf

3. Default Gateway
/etc/sysconfig/network

Then run:
#service network restart

To do text-based internet browsing, you can use Lynx. It comes with the RH9
installation disk.
