RH9! my first distro :) now back to work... Hi mhay, First you need to have root access. Then, try this out:[*] #ifconfig eth0 see if eth0 has values (ip address, netmask) that is consistent with your local network. If there is none, or it is not consistent with your LAN, you can configure it by #ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.254 netmask 255.255.255.0 up #route add default gw 192.168.0.1 then see if you have links installed #which links /usr/bin/links #links http://www.plug.org.ph HTH [*]Assuming that your network is 192.168.0.1/24, your default gateway is 192.168.0.1, and that your PC has 1 ethernet card connected to a switch.
