Just wanted to mention I had similar issues with an older system and found
it was related to the SSD controller. A certain vendor was prone to
lockingnup the system but it's more frequently see issue was random
"issues" as the SSD became "locked". Once I swapped out the drive for
another brand, all problems were resolved.
