Fabulous.  I'll create a rough entry on the SVLUG Web pages (front and
meetings.php) in a few minutes.

I'll send you an offlist note with my thoughts about choice of MAC
implementation.

The thing about meeting space is that it's a two-headed problem.  One
needs both a place to meet and reliable lining up of talks and speakers
for the specific upcoming dates.  SVLUG actually hasn't had a volunteer
coordinator since Yudhvir stopped doing that job a couple of years back.  
I've intermittently either found speaker or had them volunteer and drop
into our laps.  Either way, the mechanics are pretty easy and obvious, 
require nothing other than /usr/bin/cal, and maintaining two pages on
the Web server using a text editor and ssh client.

That can be done either by any person or a group of people; it just
would have to _happen_.  My experience was that when I put SVLUG on
notice that I was going to be away for a month (crossing the Pacific
ocean last winter) and someone else needed to arrange the next
topic/speaker, I came back and nobody even tried.

Anyway, access gladly given to anyone wanting to help make that happen.

Two more things:

1.  As I mentioned during the meeting, I can provide an (outdoor) venue
during our warm, dry months.  My house in West Menlo Park has a huge
back yard and an adequately large (I think) number of chairs and
benches. I could set up a table and 17" LCD monitor for the speaker
(but no overhead and screen, sorry).  This obviously wouldn't do from
December to March.

2.  One of the attendees said his firm, Banjo in Redwood City
(http://ban.jo/) may well be able to offer meeting space starting some
time in 2017.  I've sent this person mail (as he suggested) and put the 
details from the business card I got into text file site-docs/possible-venue
on www.svlug.org's filesystem, for collective knowledge among SVLUG's 
volunteers.

That was really annoying when they announced that in 2015
(see: https://lwn.net/Articles/655721/). I'm still poking around options
including using public patchsets (which are feature-complete) from their
testing branch.
