Re: Nov & Dec will be our last use of Symantec

I'd like to give a talk on November 2nd on a Mandatory Access Control https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandatory_access_control implementation for Linux.
I would ideally like to to concentrate on one specific MAC implementation and give a practical walk through on using it and writing a custom policy
for a new application. A stretch goal will be demonstrating its use on yocto.

Can anyone interested write me privately which which of these technologies would you rather see covered?

apparmor (typically used with ubuntu and suse)
selinux (typically used with redhat and derivatives, more difficult to use than apparmor but also more fine grained)

There are a technically a couple of other MAC implementations in mainline. There is tomoyo http://tomoyo.osdn.jp/ but it looks like it is not being
entirely kept up to date. SMACK was originally written for MeeGo and is also not widely used.

I will not cover grsecurity because it is not mainlined and the stable patches are no longer publicly available.

Regarding meeting space, if there's enough interest, I could look into alternate meeting sites.
