_Surely_ self-hosting your data doesn't in any way preclude it from being
distributed on sites beside your own.  In fact, distributed version
control makes that easy.

To draw an analogy, Eric Raymond's and my essay 'How to Ask Questions
the Smart Way' has propagated out from our Web sites to hundreds of
others, its licensing having encouraged that.
